CopperCat Studios is Mimi Baker, a natural light, on-location pet photographer in Spring, Texas. Mimi has had a passion for animals as long as she can remember, horses, dogs, cats, reptiles, you name it! She has definitely developed a special affinity for our feline friends, and has a talent for bringing their best faces forward in a calm and relaxed manner. Mimi discovered a love for photography later in life and decided she wanted to use her talent to create memories for pet lovers.

The name CopperCat is from Mimi's long time companion and best fur friend, Copper. She adopted Copper at approximately age 2 in 1999 from Operation Kindness in Carrollton, TX. He's now a crazy old man with a ton of personality who follows her everywhere. He trills and chirps as well as meows, demands his dinner be specially prepared just for him, and loves to tip things off of tables just to watch them fall.

Mimi and her husband Matt also run a private cat sanctuary out of their home, caring full time for 20+ adopted, found, and abandoned feline friends and 2 amazingly tolerant canines. She is also employed as a veterinary technician and studies feline behavior.
